The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Take a moment today to imagine yourself driving down the open road in a luxurious American icon with an elegant cabin interior, complete with blackened lace teak wood, and surrounding your ears with a premium McIntosh® sound system that fully envelops your senses. State-of-the-art technology is at your fingertips, from a 12.1-inch infotainment touchscreen to the most advanced safety features available. Then switch gears and turn off the beaten path utilizing all-terrain traction management with five drive modes, a Quadra-Drive® II 4x4 system and Quadra-Lift® Air suspension to just leave the world behind. Just as smoothly, head back to reality and bask in the glory that is the all-new Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

That's right. Jeep is bringing back the original American luxury SUV for the 2022 model year. While still technically a concept, the new Grand Wagoneer is set to hit showrooms next year. Originally released in 1984, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer was immediately recognized as the pinnacle in 4x4 capability and driving comfort. With the advancements we have made since then in auto technology, convenience features and off-road capability, one can only imagine how luxe the new generation of Grand Wagoneer will prove itself to be.

Well, you don't have to imagine. Now the secret - and the photos - are out. Re-interpreting the classic American style, the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer builds off of the Jeep Wagoneer with three rows of seats - not seen since the Jeep Commander, a large, high-tech cabin with glass-pane roof and of-the-moment entertainment and security features. In addition to the center touchscreen, there is a 10.25-inch display below for the HVAC system and other passenger controls. Also included in the concept are a 10.3-inch touchscreen for the second-row center console, as well as two 10.1-inch touchscreens for each passenger in the second row! Add 23 speakers throughout the cabin for the McIntosh® surround sound, and talk about connection.

In keeping with Jeep's commitment to sustainability and electrification across their line, the new Grand Wagoneer gets powered by a plug-in hybrid electric powertrain system. But don't let the electric powertrain fool you. The Grand Wagoneer and Jeep Wagoneer are modeled on the RAM 1500 body-on-frame design, meaning towing capacity and power are unmatched with three different all-wheel-drive systems and an air suspension.

As part of this revival, Jeep is also introducing a new Jeep Wagoneer with three rows as well as a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. The new Jeep Wagoneer is set to be a mid-priced SUV but with more room than the Jeep Cherokee line as it will have three rows.

While Jeep has yet to announce release dates for the new Grand Wagoneer and Jeep Wagoneer, there are plenty of incredible Jeep SUV options available now at Hilltop Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. For those of you with a larger family, the Chrysler Pacifica also offers three rows, 140.5 cubic feet of cargo space and plenty of high-tech features to keep driver and passengers comfy and entertained.
