Jeep is running its first-ever Jeep Top Canine contest to find the best 'good dog' who loves their Jeep. The Jeep Top Canine contest culminates with the winner announced on National Dog Day, August 26th. The winning pooch will be featured in exclusive content on Jeep social media for the next year, and be the cutest brand ambassador for Jeep brand.

This is a welcome, and cute, distraction from the news of the day, and not without merit. If you Google "dogs in Jeeps blogs" you'll get over 20 million results! "Dogs in Jeeps" brings up over 2.3 million. There are also plenty of search results for "cats in Jeeps" with over 2.5 million! Maybe next year there will be cat division, or better yet, a cats vs dogs contest. I think we could all get behind that epic standoff.
