Everything You Need To Know About The New 2020 Charger Models

Let's be honest, America's only four door muscle car is a force of nature. Right now, the Dodge Charger is on track to lead the US large car segment for three years in a row. And, when the 2020 Charger rolls off the lot, it'll be the leader of a whole lot more

For the 2020 model year, Dodge will offer six distinct Charger models — Charger SXT (RWD and AWD), Charger GT RWD, Charger RT, Charger Scat Pack (Widebody available), Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, and a special Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition. The six vehicle lineup offers customers a range of performance and powertrain options, which make this model-year Charger one of the most versatile we've seen. Let's take a look.

Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody
When it hits the streets, the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody will be the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world. A title it holds already and shows no sign of giving up. Why's it so fast? Because it's supercharged.

The 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody operates on a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® V-8 that delivers 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. Plus, it goes 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds, clocks a quarter-mile time of 10.96 seconds and reaches a top speed of 196. When you're in a Charger saying, "I'll be there in no time" always applies.

Here's what's new with the Hellcat for 2020:

  • Standard Widebody exterior: integrated fender flares add 3.5 inches of body width, 20-inch by 11-inch Carbon Black forged wheels, stickier Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires, competition suspension tuning with SRT-tuned Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping. All of these features combined produce more grip and deliver improved performance, which makes this Hellcat the quickest and best-handling production Hellcat ever.
  • Electric power steering, which makes it easier to turn at lower speeds. Plus, the steering can be calibrated via settings in the SRT Performance Pages to optimize steering depending on driving situation.
  • Newly designed front fascia with new mail-slot grille
  • Interior instrument panel badging
  • Carbon & Suede Interior Package
  • Two optional wheel choices

Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition
In tribute to the 1969 Charger Daytona, Dodge will produce 501 special edition Daytona 5oth Anniversary Chargers. These models will feature a special Daytona decklid and rear-quarter decal with matching spoiler, and will be available in four colors: B5 Blue, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel and White Knuckle.

And, because it's a Dodge Charger (and a very special Dodge Charger at that) the Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition will be powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine with an extra boost of power — 717 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. How do you say, Va-va-vroom?
